今天一位求職者問了一個我之前沒被問過的問題,所以跟大家分享一下。
背景:一位有多年工作經驗的UX/UI Designer問我下面這個問題。
問題:
I got a question because my friend told me that for every job, no matter how long or short, you should list only 3–5 bullet points to describe what you did there, and you shouldn’t repeat the skills or tasks you’ve already mentioned in other work experiences. But you mentioned that for a job of nearly three years, having only three bullet points might not be enough. This makes me a bit confused about which approach is correct — or is it just a difference between UK and US practices?
聽到這個問題後,我把他的問題拆成兩個部分去回答:

我的回答:如果你在一個工作了10年,你只能寫個3 – 5句話,我是面試官我會很懷疑你在那邊白混。10年的時間可能有promotion、可能參與不同的project,怎麼可能只有3/5 句話可以說完? 如果你是做短期的工作,例如半年內就走,你寫5句話,我也懷疑很水。 - “and you shouldn’t repeat the skills or tasks you’ve already mentioned in other work experiences. But you mentioned that for a job of nearly three years, having only three bullet points might not be enough. This makes me a bit confused about which approach is correct — or is it just a difference between UK and US practices?”
我的回答:我沒有聽過這個說法。例如你有10年figma經驗和你想投遞的職位需要5年相關經驗,但你在履歷上只寫了第一份工作用了2年;身為一個Recruiter,我怎麼算都不會幫你多算另外8年。我幫你加進去,就是我被罵,因為候選人履歷根本沒有寫,面試官 / Hiring Manager 哪知道你總共有多少年經驗。你可能說,你跟我通電話不就知道? 說實話,市場上那麼多候選人,我優先聯絡寫得很仔細的候選人,才是正常的做法。
另外,不管美國或英國做法,我都沒聽過不能寫重複skill。Skills 還是要寫,但有很多方式去寫,沒有人叫你用一樣的寫法。

UX/ UI Designer
錯誤做法(重複堆砌):這個寫法顯示你英文能力有限。
Job A: Used Figma to design user interfaces.
Job B: Used Figma to design user interfaces.
Job C: Used Figma to design user interfaces.
更好的做法(情境化):
Job A: Created wireframes and prototypes in Figma to support MVP launch.
Job B: Collaborated with engineers and PMs using Figma for real-time design iteration.
Job C: Led a design system migration in Figma, improving consistency across 3 product lines.
Recruiter
不同寫法,類似的意思:
– Establish strong relationship with hiring managers and HR business partners to lead and drive the recruitment process
– Build effective collaboration with Service Line Leaders, Solutioning, HR team & Procurement team
– Work closely with the Sourcing Leaders to identify short and long term talent attraction needs
