It’s a quite interesting topic that I would like to discuss it today. Today, two of my colleagues (A & B) raised concerns regarding their capabilities. Actually I am quite surprised when I heard that, because they have different highlights which they are unable to identify unless they get the full picture.
A is one of my good friends and she can speak three languages. Also, her super powers are the networks she owned and dealing with difficult people, especially the client side. Unfortunately, she neglects her abilities and keeps thinking on the bad sides. With her super powers, they will take her to many job opportunities.
B is a new joiner and has taken up a new challenge (transfer from Sales role to technical consultant role). As a new joiner without technical background, he is very nervous about his performance in client’s presentation and other tasks. However, his learning attitude and English is good enough that I believe my boss would keep him no matter what.
Knowing your value is always a hard skill that not much people aware of. Some people may think this is arrogant, but I would tell you that if you dont know your value, you are a loser. All the past experience shape the person we are. Never fogot how you come this far: step by step. No one can deny you except yourself, not your boss, colleagues, families and friends.
