Today we will continue to talk about Personal Branding – Differentiate: What makes you unique?
After identifying yourself, you have to determine what makes you unique. One way to discover this is by finding your community. Your community is a reflection of the values your brand stands for.
Looking back into your past, you had a lot of classmates or friends from primary school, high school, university. Even though you guys studied at the same place, all of you start your career in different places. Let’s say I studied Social Science in the university, I became an HR instead of a civil servant. There were many factors made me become an HR, including my hobbies, my internship experience, the university’s courses I studied. Therefore, conducting a research in the community you staying in would be a good method.
Finally, would like to share one of my favourite Ted x Talks videos. Even though the video is called Self-promotion; I believe it’s quite similar to personal branding.
